About Dr. Kim Tan
Dr. Kim Tan grew up in the Edmonton area and attended the University of Alberta. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2000 and was recognized with the Mac George Strelioff scholarship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She has been practising at Heritage Dental Centre since 2005. Dr. Tan has enjoyed forming trusting relationships with many families through the years in her general practice of dentistry. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor pursuits with her husband, three boys and the family dog.

I've been going to Heritage Dental for years. Dr Kim Tan is my dentist. I'm a nervous dentist goer and she makes me feel so calm, any time I have had work done with her, she's super gentle and explains it all to me. The front desk staff are awesome and all the hygienists I've seen are all super nice and professional.
My husband and I have been patients of Dr Kim Tan for 20 years. She is great! She always explains our options in detail. Her work is meticulous. Cannot recommend more highly. All the support staff (receptionists, hygienists and dental assistants) are friendly, efficient and kind. Great dental clinic.

Can I ask to see a particular dentist?
Yes. Tell us who when you book and we will put it on your file. Most of our patients see the same dentist every visit, and that is how we prefer it too.
What if my dentist is not available when I need to be seen?
Any of our dentists can see you, and they all work from the same records in the same clinic. For anything urgent, take the first appointment we can offer rather than waiting.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, all of our dentists are accepting new patients.
Do you bill my insurance directly?
Yes, wherever your plan allows it, so in most cases there is nothing for you to claim back yourself. Heritage Dental Centre is also a registered provider for the Canadian Dental Care Plan.
How do I change to a different dentist here?
Just say so when you book. Nobody needs a reason and your records stay where they are.
