About Dr. Poznikoff
In 1986, Dr. Poznikoff graduated with honours from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Alberta. In addition to carrying out a general practice, at the Heritage Dental Centre, Dr. Poznikoff spent several years teaching as a clinical professor in prosthodontics at the University of Alberta. Dr. Poznikoff is a member of the Alberta Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association, and the Edmonton and District Dental Society.
Dr. Poznikoff is very active in the community, and for many years, has devoted much of his spare time coaching high-level hockey, lacrosse and inline hockey. He participates in many sports, some of his favourites being hockey, curling, golf, water skiing and surfing. He loves spending time with his family and takes advantage of the opportunity whenever possible.

Been with Dr. Poz for over 23 years now and always recommend him. He is an amazing person and a huge personality (think hulk hogan); always tell my wife that he only makes money off one person in our house hold(me) as she has a perfect set of teeth. We have moved out of the YEG city for over 16 years but still make the 30 minute drive on the 216 to get our dental appointment through him.
The staff here are wonderful and unlike most places, several of them have been there for a long time (double digit years!) which usually speaks well about the culture and the business. I've never had a bad experience and any time that I needed clarification or more information, they've always been able to help. Dr. Poznikoff is very professional and always friendly.

Can I ask to see a particular dentist?
Yes. Tell us who when you book and we will put it on your file. Most of our patients see the same dentist every visit, and that is how we prefer it too.
What if my dentist is not available when I need to be seen?
Any of our dentists can see you, and they all work from the same records in the same clinic. For anything urgent, take the first appointment we can offer rather than waiting.
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, all of our dentists are accepting new patients.
Do you bill my insurance directly?
Yes, wherever your plan allows it, so in most cases there is nothing for you to claim back yourself. Heritage Dental Centre is also a registered provider for the Canadian Dental Care Plan.
How do I change to a different dentist here?
Just say so when you book. Nobody needs a reason and your records stay where they are.
